I grew up in Westminster and graduated from Westminster High School late last century. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Financial Securities and Investment Strategies from Cal. State Long Beach. After college I opened a small pizzeria in Anaheim and ran a successful small business for 7 years. After having my first child I decided to sell my business to focus on my family. During this time I attended National University to earn a Masters Degree in Cross-Cultural Education while completing my teaching credential.
I began my teaching career working with the Orange County Dept. of Education's ACCESS Program. I taught at several locations across the county working with students who faced a wide range of emotional and traumatic experiences. In 2009 I joined GGUSD and began teaching at Bolsa Grande HS where I taught for 5 years. I then moved to Walton Intermediate for the next 6 years.
I came to LQ in 2020 during the Covid years when a Math position opened up. I have since taken on the advisor role for both UNICEF and Mock Trial clubs. I have always heard so many great things about the students and staff at LQ, but actually being here is better than anything I expected!
