About Us
Purpose: We are a selective group on campus consisting of our school’s leaders and activists. The purpose of this organization is to promote the highest ideals of leadership and conduct within and through the members of the club. Girls’ League aims to inspire the spirit of friendship and cooperation among the students of La Quinta High School and provide service, spirit, and role models for the school and community.
Member Eligibility: In order to be eligible for a position as a member of Girls’ League, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an upcoming junior or senior.
- Must maintain satisfactory marks in citizenship and work habits (no U’s); “N” marks will be reviewed.
- Must have at least a 2.5 GPA (unweighted).
- Must not have any failing marks (C grade or above) ; a grade of “D” will result in probation that will include an improvement plan:
- Improvement plan will be written and approved by the teacher and advisor
- Tutoring hours will be arranged with the teacher
- Both teacher and advisor will follow up with member’s progress in class
- If the grade does not improve, it will be at the advisor’s discretion to remove the member from Girls’ League
- Must have application signed and returned before the deadline
- Must be interviewed and selected by returning members with final approval from the club advisor
Member Selection: The selection of new members will be dependent upon the evaluation from the returning members and advisor. Qualities a member should encompass are: reliability, good character, dedication, willingness to serve, and a genuine desire to participate in all club activities. The club should consist of 20-30 members; the exact number shall be left to the discretion of the officers and advisor.

- Registration/Textbook Returns
- Back-to-School Night
- Open House
- All Winter Formal business
- Senior Awards Night
- Graduation
