Bilingual Community Liaisons
The Title I program provides La Quinta High School with bilingual community liaisons. These staff members are a vital component of La Quinta’s continual attempt to maintain good communication between the faculty and parents. They inform parents of essential information regarding their students’ academic progress, important upcoming school events, and any other information that teachers wish to relay to parents. If you would like to speak with Rocio, Kim or Luann, you can reach them at:

Bi-Weekly Progress Reports
Parents and students who want to keep track of their grades and progress may request a bi-weekly progress report from the guidance office. Students can bring these reports to their teachers every two weeks for their grades and status in each class.

Back-on-Track Night
Every year La Quinta counselors host Back-on-Track night at the beginning of second semester. Parents of 9th grade students who struggled academically first semester are invited to come and listen to a presentation on how to help their students turn things around and get off to a good start in the new semester.

Parent Power School
La Quinta is happy to have this program again running for a second time for the school year 2009-2010. Liaisons will be holding presentations on selected Wednesday's and Thursday's of the month (day and evening) on various topics and in three languages: English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Most information we will cover will be from last year's 10 Educational Commandments, however, these meetings will have a bit more of interaction between parents and students. You can sign-up and view more information online under the Parents tab. For any questions please contact the liaison with the language of your preference as soon as possible!

Student Dayplanners
During registration in September, the Title I program provides each student with a free Dayplanner filled with dates of school-related activities and academic resources. But most importantly, these planners have weekly calendar pages, organized by periods for each day of the school year, so that students can keep track of their assignments and due dates.
