New Library Hours: The Library will be open daily from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. Please note:
After school tutoring will no longer be held in the library. Tutoring will now be held in the 300 Lab until 4 PM.
The La Quinta High School Library Media program is fully integrated into the school's curriculum and is central to the learning process of all students. The program promotes student academic achievement towards meeting state content standards and ensures that students and staff can effectively use and access ideas and information. Current up-to-date information in the form of books, databases, periodicals, reference materials, and online resources are available during the regular library hours. Students are also encouraged to use the library before school, during lunch, after school, or throughout the regular school day with a written pass from their teacher. The library also has 30 Internet connected Mac computers available for teacher and student use as well as a copy machine that can be used at a cost of 15 cents per page.
Library materials are selected to serve all of the curriculum and the needs and specific interests of the entire range of students with individual learning styles and multiple intelligences.
The La Quinta Library is also kept running smoothly with the help of awesome Library Science students. They love to help, so if you see them around, don't be shy!
